Key West Sport Fishing Tournament

The Key West Sport Fishing Tournament, starting March 14, 2008, is a seven-month-long competition that runs from March through November and is open to the general public. Visiting and local anglers are encouraged to enter their catches, at no charge, at a tournament weigh station during the seven-month event. All entries receive a certificate noting their catch, and qualify for prizes. Each year the Key West Fishing Tournament is opened by a Kickoff Tournament. Started in 1965, the Key West Fishing Tournament is celebrating its 40th year helping to promote sport fishing, conservation and tourism in the Key West area.
